The land cover and land use classifications of the MapBiomas collections are based on Landsat mosaics. In each of the years, a specific mosaic was produced (1985-2022). Each mosaic is produced by the spatial integration of the different Landsat scenes present in each chart and by the temporal integration pixel by pixel. These time intervals were defined according to a strategy to improve the classification results.

You can access the mosaics from Collection 3 of MapBiomas Trinational Atlantic Forest directly on Google Earth Engine through the following public collection (asset):
